Lax Dog is run by Joe Monmonier
current Hilton Head High School Head Coach and former Freshmen Lacrosse Coach and assistant varsity coach at Mount Saint
Joseph High School. Long time assistant coach (defense/goalies) at
Catonsville Community College coaching 10 All-Americans and the 1996 team
to the NJCAA Final Four. Coach Monmonier is a 2 time NCAA Division II
All-American Goalie 1993, 1994 at Limestone College in Gaffney, South
Carolina and NJCAA All American Goalie 1992
at Catonsville Community College. Coach Monmonier is also a graduate
of Mount Saint Joseph High School class of 1990 where he played both
lacrosse and football. The name and image "Lax Dog" comes
from Coach Monmonier's 5 1/2 year old black lab named appropriately
"Coach". Our philosophy is simple try to create an atmosphere of
competition while learning and and building the fundamental skills of
the game of lacrosse.
Other Coaches from Hilton Head High School and area high school
lacrosse programs will also be coaching and helping out in our camps and
leagues.
